Can someone tell me where to find info about my father's participation in WW1? When and where he enllisted and was discharged, the unit he served in, etc. Also, before and after the armistice, he was in a French army hospital in Lyons for surgery -- any way to get more info about that??

Your post makes me think how fast time goes by. When I was young there was a sign on the old Grange building in our little town. It said, "WWl Vets meet here every 2nd Tuesday." And if you drove by on meeting day there were a lot of them! But now they are all gone of course. And most of our WWll Vets as well. Time passes for us all.
