William was born about 1782 in North Carolina. He was the son of John Allbright. He and his oldest brother Alexander migrated to Georgia after their father John and Uncle Jacob (Notes of Lee Lance Allbright). William married Sarah “Sallie” Nelson about 1801.
William’s son William Isley Allbright later migrated with William’s father, John, and William’s brother, John Christian, to the Cape Girdeau District, Missouri Territory.
William passed away in 1821 in Madison County, Missouri.
Very little is to be found regarding William Allbright (1782-1821). He is not listed in “The Albrights” by Shannon Dowdy Albright nor is he listed in any of Claribel Albright McClain’s books. The only references I have found thus far are in “Threads of Ancestors”, and notes from Lee Lance Allbright. William was Lee Lance Allbright’s 3rd GGF.
Certain aspects of Lee Lance’s notes, while possible, seem unlikely.
“William was accompanied by three of his sisters when they moved from Georgia to Texas. Katherine “Kay”, Keziah, and Charity. William died March 29th, 1821 at the age of 39. His sisters returned to Madison County, Missouri where William’s father John Allbright Sr. was living and he also died September 26th, 1826. He was buried in Brick House Cemetary Guilford County, North Carolina”.
According to this, Keziah would have travelled from Georgia to Texas, then to Missouri, then to Tennessee where she married Stephen Box, then to Blount County, Alabama, and finally back to Texas with her husband and family in 1834. It’s certainly possible, but highly improbable. It’s also unlikely that John Allbright Sr.’s body was transported back to Guilford County; most likely, it’s another case of John Sr. being confused with his younger brother John Ludwig.

According to McCain (“Ancestry of Albright and Holt Families of Clay County Missouri”, pp 215) citing the work of Dorothy Black, a Georgia Albright Family Compiler, who read and copied early tax rolls from microfiche in 1981, the 1813 tax rolls of Madison County, Georgia lists:
