Biography
Katherine was the daughter of James de Audley[1] and Joan Mortimer.
She was married before 30 April 1357 to Thomas Spigurnel.[1]
Jointly with Thomas her husband, she held two-thirds of the manor of Worthymortymer [Worthy Mortimer] for their lives, by gift and feoffment of Roger Mortimer, late earl of March, the reversion belonging to Edmund Mortimer, earl of March, son and heir of Roger.[2] On her death in 1374 the estate reverted to Edmund son of Roger Mortimer, her 'kinsman and heir.'[3]
Katherine died 15 October 1374, without issue.[2] Her inquisition post mortem records her heir as her brother Nicholas.[2]
