Biography

Percy Balch was born in Lincolnshire, England.

Percy was born in 1868.^[1] He was the son of William Henry Balch and Martha R Lucy. In 1871 he lived in Grimsby.^[2] In 1881 he was resident in the Port of Hull Society Sailors Orphan Home.^[3] In 1891 he was back in Grimsby.^[4]

He married Clara Isabella Taylor in 1893.^[5][6] In 1901 they lived in Grimsby.^[7] In 1911 they still lived in Grimsby.^[8] They had been married eighteen years and had one child.

Percy died in 1944^[9] and wasa buried in Scartho Road Cemetery, Grimsby on 21 December 1944.^[10][11][12] Probate for his estate was granted on 12 April 1945.^[13]
