Biography
Laura's birth was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1874 in the Caistor district.[1]
In the 1881 census Laura (age 7), Scholar, was the daughter of Martha Balch at 39 Newmarket St, Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.[2] In the 1891 census Laura (age 17) was the daughter of Mascha Balch in Grimsby, Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.[3]
Laura (age 19), daughter of William Henry Balch, married William Henry Short in 1893 in Clee, Lincoln, England.[4][5][6]
In the 1901 census Louia (age 26) was the daughter of Martha K Balch in Grimsby, Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.[7] In the 1911 census Laura (age 37), Assisting Council School, was the wife of William Henry Short at 95 School House Castle St Grimsby, Clee, Lincolnshire, England.[8] In the 1939 register Laura (age 65), Asst: School Caretaker Re??, was recorded as married at 18, Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire (Parts of Lindsey), England.[9]
Laura's death (age 74) was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1950 in the Cleethorpes district.[10][11] Laura died on 17 March 1950 in Lincolnshire, Lincoln, England and their estate passed probate on 14 November 1957 in Lincoln, England.[12]
