Leslie Blamey was born in New South Wales, Australia

Leslie Macquarie Blamey was born on June 14, 1919 in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, son of Richard Henwood Blamey (1875–1933) and Annie Jane Woodlands (1881–1954).[1]

Leslie (21) married Jessie Holman (24) (born on March 30, 1916 in Barrow in Furness, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom) on June 15, 1940 in Sydney, New South Wales.[2]

BLAMEY-HOLMAN. - June 15, at Wesley Chapel, Leslie Macquarie Blamey, youngest son of the late Mr. R. H. Blamey and Mrs. A. J. Blamey, of Wollstonecraft, to Jessie (Ann), only child of the late Mr. R. J. Holman, and Mrs. I. T Lindsay, of Neutral Bay.[3]

Leslie died on May 27, 1972 in Ballina, New South Wales, aged 52.[4][5][6]
