Carrie was born in 1904. She was the daughter of Nels Olsson and Emma Smith. She passed away in 1922.
In 1910, Carrie (6) was attending school and living in Maple Ridge, Michigan with her parents. Her father, Nels (49) was employed at a lumber yard. He owned their mortgage-free farm. Her mother, Emma (35), took care of the home and family. May (3) and Willie (1) stayed home with their mom. The census worker noted that Emma gave birth to seven children, and six were still living in 1910. Hubert (12), Earl (10) and Annie (8) were attending school. Carrie's Uncle John Smith (23) was also living with them. He was born in Sweden and employed as a laborer, doing odd jobs. [1]
In 1920, Carry (16) was attending school and living in Maple Ridge, Michigan with her father, Nelson (59). Nels was born in Sweden and immigrated to the United States in 1891. He was naturalized in 1893. By 1920, he was widowed, and working as a farmer on his own mortgaged farm. Her brothers Herbert (22) and Earl (20) were both laborers at a factory. Anne (18) stayed at home. May (14), Willie (11), Walter (9), and Edwin (7) attended school. [2]
Carrie Emma Englund died 2 Dec 1922 in Green Bay, Brown, Wisconsin, United States.[3][4]
