Biography

The biography for Lynn Fenn is empty. What can you add?

As a child I moved around quite a lot. After my parents separated my brother Tom & I went to live with our Aunt, Uncle & cousins for a few years. In total I've lived in 12 different cities, 33 different homes. At 18 years old I left home and moved back to my homeland, Halifax, Nova Scotia, then moved to Victoria, British Columbia 8 months later, where I presently live.

When I was 9 yrs I took ballet lessons for about 2 yrs, then we moved. In our new home in Scarborough, Ontario I began piano lessons for 3 years, classical & contemporary music. I was a Brownie & a Girl Guide. My brother & I sold greeting cards for two years, at age 11 & my brother 12. We frequently went to the recreation center to swim. In 1967 we moved to Burlington, Ontario. There I continued with piano lessons for another 2 years & achieved Gr 5 The Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto (Piano). I sang in the church choir, at which the organist was my piano teacher. While in high school I participated in track & field, gymnastics, home economics, horticulture & beauty culture. Other interests of mine were swimming, art, photography, cycling, walking, writing, spending time with friends, family, & travelling to name a few.

In my younger years one of my greatest vacations was in 1965. Our family took a trip to Washington, DC, Bethesda, Maryland & Arlington, Virginia to visit our relatives. While there we visited The White House, The Pentagon, The Washington Monument, The United States Capitol & The Lincoln Memorial. We went to The Arlington Cemetery to pay our respects to President John F. Kennedy, & viewed the eternal flame.

Hello Lynn, I've sent you several requests (Aug. & Dec. 2021) to join the trusted list for profile Timothy Houghton. Earlier this year I updated that profile with research; he's a direct ancestor whose family line I will continue to compile research for but being in the trusted list helps me to watch for other updates and monitor the accuracy of those updates. Hopefully you are able to respond to this trusted-list request. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Sincerely, Leigh Anne.
Hi Lynn,

Thanks for working on pre-1700 profiles. I encourage you read attentively the details of existing profiles before adding connections to them. See John Houghton, it says it is uncertain who his wife was, Josslyn or Walker. Also the comments on the profile for Houghton-6 say it is dubious who his mother was. In such a case, it is necessary to collaborate before adding a contested parent. Walker-37172 is also a duplicate of either Walker-5545 or Jossely-66. See also Help:Pre-1700 Profiles.

Thank you!

Hi Lynn,

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans to understand what to do next.
