My father was born in Tipperary, Ireland in 1913. His parents were James Robert Hodgins and Mary Ethel (Minnie) McDowell. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Hodgins and Anne Guest ; his maternal grandparents were John McDowell and Bashemath A. (Elizabeth?) Bell.

My brother and I both submitted DNA kits to Family Tree DNA and our results are part of the Hodgens family study.
