FindaGrave gives parents: "Wilhelm Morgel was born in about 1742, in Germany. In about 1767, he married a woman named Mary Margaretha (her last name is not known). He came to America with his wife in about 1768. His name was changed to the more Anglo-sounding "William Morricle." From 1770 to 1790 he lived in Frederick County, Maryland (about fifty miles northwest of present day Washington, D.C.). There, he and his wife had seven children -- four girls and three boys."
