In June of 1900 Fred and two of his brothers were boarders in the home of Seabrooks Alexander Myrick. and were working as turpentine laborers.[6][7]
On May 5, 1901 he married Brook's oldest daughter Minnie Ezora Myrick, who was 6 months shy of her 16th birthday.[8][9][10]
By 1910 he had become a store clerk with 5 children; Mamie Olivia Rahn Speir (1903-1969), Fred Herschel Rahn Sr., (1904-1966), James Clark Rahn (1906-1973), Robert Colon Rahn (1908-1981), and Annie Lee Rahn Shuman (1910-1993),[11][12]
In the 1920's he was trying his hand at farming and had 5 more children; Alva Lois Rahn (1911-2010), Asa Penn Rahn (1912-2008), Oscar Troy Rahn (1914-1994), Rufus Felton Rahn (1916-1974), and John Wilson Rahn (1918-2008).,[13]
By 1930 he had a total of 13 children and was a truck driver. The last 3 were Cecil L Rahn (1921-2015), Audrey R Rahn Murphy Hessenthaler (1924 -), and Henry Osborne Rahn (1925-2000).[14] It's unsure if Fred drove a truck long distance or not, but by 1940 he was in his mid 60's and driving a school bus. It's possible his 14 grandchildren influenced that decision.[15]
Fred passed away 5 days shy of his 69th birthday on July 8, 1945.[16] He had been married to Minnie for 44 years and is buried at the Richmond Hill First Baptist Church Cemetery in Richmond Hill, Bryan County, Georgia.[17]

Hi Sharon, Sorry it took so long to thank you for noticing the double Rahn situation. I've tried to be very careful not to get into a "merger" situation. I think I must have hit the save button twice. I'll be more careful in the future. Thanks again - Lucy
