Emmeline Warren was born on July 7, 1878 in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire, England, United Kingdom, daughter of William Warren and Elizabeth Ginn.[1]

In the 1881 census Emeline (age 2) was the daughter of William Warren in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire, England. Her father was a domestic groom & gardener. She lived with her parents & 4 siblings.[2]

In the 1891 census Emma (age 12) was the daughter of Elizabeth Warren in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire, England. Her father had already emigrated, settling in Winnipeg a few weeks earlier.[3]

Later that year she emigrated with her mother & siblings aboard the ship "Sardinian", arriving on July 5, 1891 in Quebec before travelling to Winnipeg.[4]

Tragedy struck their family on July 1, 1896 when her drunken father killed her mother and then killed himself. The story is quite grizzly to read but can be read in the Winnipeg Trubune (2 Jul 1896).[5] Sadly, her brother Ernest developed typhoid fever a week or two later & died on July 26, 1896. The funerals for both her mother & brother left from her sister Alice's home.

Emeline married Willaim Bolingbroke (born 1867 in Chevington, Suffolk, England) on 26 November 1896 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.[6]

In the 1901 census Emma (age 32) was the wife of Wm Bolingbroke in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.[7]

Emeline Bolingbroke died (age 69) on 14 April 1948 in St Boniface, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.[10] She was buried at Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery.[11]Canada.
