If you don't follow tags for your surname, you might miss Wonderful WikiTree comments in the G2G because they will not appear in your Activity Feed emails. You can easily find them by looking in the upper right column of your own profile.

Lots of statistics are being followed regarding the Greeter Project and here are the September stats.

• 2 Week Team left 2,475 messages

• Pre-1700 Team left 301 messages

• Honor Code Team reviewed 2,413 profiles and left 409 messages

• Merge Feed Team left 20 messages

• GEDCOM Team reviewed 783 profiles and left 507 messages

• DNA Team reviewed 3,202 profiles and left 1,096 messages

Greeters welcome new Guests and Members while we simultaneously protect our members from spammers.  We also answer questions from our guests and new members and make sure they get the help they need to have a successful start on Wikitree.

A Greeter is ... ...a full member, at least 18 years old, who joined WikiTree more than one month ago. ...a Wiki Genealogist who has signed the Honor Code and has made over 100 non-GEDCOM contributions. ...a special volunteer who is able to communicate with guests and new members in a friendly, helpful manner. ...able to edit a profile, post messages, and use email. ...someone who has a good understanding of WikiTree principles and procedures or knows where to find the answers.
