Should be an interesting weekend. Not sure how much help I will be as I just joined a couple of days ago and am stilling learning about good practice, but I am willing to give it a go. You can assign me something idiot-proofed as my task :)
There seems to be a C missing
Lynda, here's the descriptions of the different errors: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Database_Errors#Description_of_errors.

If you want to take a look at them you might find a few that sound good to you.  Then you can check the Errors table on our team space page and find those errors to work on the ones specifically for the UK.  If you have more questions about that let me know. Thanks!
Eowyn, Thanks for the error types. How about if I try tackling some gender errors to start with? Does that sound like a sensible area for someone who is still learning all the standards that apply here?
Sure! You might like 107, 108 and some of the 600 errors.
Great. Thanks for the tip.
I thought I'd do error 103 (Death before birth) for 1800-1899 UK, starting at the bottom. Easy, huh? So far all the profiles are locked and the death dates are very incorrect (proven via the 1901 census returns) so I will shortly have used up my 20 private messages allocation to the profile manager. Interestingly they were all uploaded by GED three to four years ago, so far.......
How do we access the right hand side of the error table? For the easier error types most of the more recent years are hidden behind comments. I have tried both Safari and Chrome, so it does not seem to be a Safari issue. Can you shunt the table to elsewhere on the page so that we can get at it?
I am looking at 640 re Death details in upper case. Looks like some of you have been busy as the initial areas I looked at had been done, so picked from the middle of the page. Good luck everyone time to be busy busy
Good morning!

I am unable to edit a profile for an individual born in 1741, not managed by me.  Shouldn't I have access to a 1741 profile?  It's a minor error.
Grrrr. I can't update Status
Same problem here Richard. It has been spinning for 25 minutes. The error handling system is clearly not dimensioned to cope with the volume of traffic created by a Clean-a-thon.
Calling it a day. I have managed to handle 20 gender issues in between my other commitments today. Unfortunately my count is not showing for the team, but is still in the unallocated grouping.
I had a similar problem  early today re status - then realised I hadn't closed previous status update. Once I closed that no more problems.

Looks like I may be done for the day as I can not get the status button to work. Have closed down and rebooted but still just getting the spinning wheel.

I am afraid will have to leave you all too it as working tomorrow
I am just working my way through a error list making sure if there is multiple errors associated to clear them. Have left a few as couldn't correct the errors with sources I could find. When I get tired of one I just try a different error list.

I have seen some stupid errors and some that are the result of a simple mistake. Makes me Glad I currently have no errors on my personal error list that I can actually fix(Some are green public profiles under another profile manager).

Out of curiosity How much longer does this go. I have a Family history book that i am going to read and add my family members to here but don't want to add them without having loads of time available so I can source them properly
It goes til midnight EDT so about 23 more hours.

Hi UKleaners!

Aleš has it set up where we can see what we've been working on.  If you check our free space page you'll see where I've set it up for each of you to be able to see your work if you're interested. Pretty cool!

Also, it'd probably be good if you each post an answer here and say what you are working on. If you want to say hi and introduce yourself a little that would be great too.

Thanks!

Hi team, I am going to look at the 811 errors for the pre-1500 profiles initially.  We have about 4200 of those according to the latest lists so I think I will be busy!  Good luck everyone
Several of us in the Pre-1500 team will also be working on 811.  Together, I'm sure we'll shrink that number! :)
I have had a couple of replies to messages sent to profile mangers re errors.

As these have been corrected do I need to go back to status and update this?

Regards Janet
There are small but significant number of deaths before births in 1700-1899 that I cannot do anything with because a digit is missing from the date and is therefore classed as Pre-1500! Can a 'qualified' person take time out after this session to peruse the 103 list for these to try and sort them out? Thanks.
Hi, I will take a look at some these now Christina
I already took a look.  I think maybe somebody else did the necessary earlier on, because all the ones still remaining are definitely pre-1500 Error 103s.  I think.
Thanks both.

I have made a start on some of the gender errors. Have two questions so far:

1. Getting an error message when I update status on an error: "Your WikiTreeID does not exist. Status is updated, but correct it next time. (Crackett-3)". Is my work being registered correctly?

2. I still cannot access the right hand side of the error table, so I am unable to pick some of the errors with more recent centuries. It is hidden behind comments that folks have made.

Hi Lynda!

I'm not sure why you are getting an error.  If you go to our Team Page (it's linked in the question part of this post) you can click on the "See your work" next to your name and see if it looks right.

I fixed everything so the table will show properly. :)
Hi Eowyn, Thanks for fixing the table. Much easier to read and access now.

As to my wiki-ID issue, there is definitely something weird going on. I get the message each time I update a status. I know it is looking right in the "See your work" list as I checked that when the error first came up, but I don´t think I am being added into the group status reports.
Hi Eowyn, I have finally appeared on the full error statistics list, but I am on the long list of folks not allocated to a team. How do I get myself back into UKleaners results?
My issue with Wikitree-ID and connection to the team have now been resolved by Ales.
Oh good, sorry I was away more of yesterday than I thought I would be.  I'm glad it is fixed!

Hi everyone, I was too late to register but I'll make a start on the 821-825 errors.  Do you want me to list the profiles here as I clear the errors (like the source-a-thons)?
by Sheena Tait G2G6 Pilot (120k points)
Hi Sheena, sounds great!  You don't have to list them here.  Aleš has it set up to automatically track for us - which has been awesome.
The problem is I'm not registered, so will my contributions still count to the team's totals as I'm getting "Your WikiTreeID is not participating in Clean-A-Thon. If you are, let us know in G2G, so we can sort it out." every time I update the status.
They won't count towards the team, no.   We have quite a few people who are participating even though they weren't registered.   They're doing it just to do it - you guys are awesome.

You can see your count here too: http://wikitree.sdms.si/function/WTCATScores/Scores.htm?Type=1

You'll see a section about halfway down that doesn't have a team name.  You're listed there.
That's fine thanks Eowyn.  The ones I'm doing are easy fixes!
