Looking for the father of Abraham R. Compton, b. 1796 in Phillipstown, NY

Question

I am looking for the father of Abraham R. Compton, b. 1796 in Phillipstown, NY, married Patricia Marie Gee in Tioga, PA. They had a daughter named Mahala that I descend from.

Unsourced family trees on Ancestry.com say Jacob Compton is the father, but I believe his son is NOT the same Abraham, as the states involved are totally different, as well as Abraham's wife and lack of a daughter Mahala.

Does anyone have a source that will name my Abraham R. Compton's father?  Thank you in advance.
