I don't know Betty, I did come across somewhere a Kate Beckett being a nurse and now I can't find it. Also, there was this on myheritage.com but I don't have a membership. Maybe the parents of her brother John Beckett would hold the key?

Jane Phelps Beckett is listed in the ancestry.com member's tree as dying in 1877. Kathaleen wasn't born until 1885. Perhaps George remarried?
