You'll need to look at the largest possible view of this photo to see the ghost--but this photo is truly amazing and almost makes one believe that ghosts with this much "embodiment" exist in nature. Someone really wanted to stay with her family. Thank you for posting it. (I'm working on finding my Schneider ancestors, however few.)

I wanted to share this family photo of Anna Jacobs with the community. Location: Uniontown Washington. Date: 1889.

"Mother Anna" (front row, sitting, in black) must be the Schneider family relative. Thanks for sending this for all of us seeking our Schneiders!!
Yes, that's her! Anna Schneider Jacobs was an amazing woman. A true pioneer who came to Washington State in 1867 on the "Davy" wagon train from St. Cloud Minnesota.

A couple of more things. Most people believe the ghost in the picture is real. My grandchildren are fascinated by it. Second, Anna's mother (Catherine) had a birth name of "Berent." It is believed she was Jewish but that it still to be determined.

Thanks, Bart, and you've just given me another variant of Berman, which is one of my watchlist names. I am 31% Ashkenazi. From Old Poland, then boundaries changed to Lithuania and then to Belarus. Where is Anna Berent located in your family's history (places and decades)? I have had a auDNA test to determine my father's strain, his unknown father. Do you have a living woman in your family who is Anna Berent's direct line descendant??? I'd love to know if and where that woman has been tested if she exists.

Hi again! Catherine Berent is my GGG grandmother. She was from Nachtsheim, Mayen-Koblenz, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. Here is her WT profile (Berent-3): http://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Berent-3&public=1. My sister is alive and is a direct descendant of her.
