I would like to prove William McLaughlin's marriage to first wife Sarah Crow (1800-1829) in Virginia. They had a son, Phillip Crow Mclaughlin (1829-1899) born in Virginia. It might be that she died at childbirth. I note Wm McLaughlin was married 3 times. Second wife, Mary Jackson and third wife Rebecca Jones. I also note his living in Columbianna, Ohio most of his life.

Unfortunately there is some wrong information floating around on the internet concerning Wm McLaughlin & Sarah Crow.

Wm McLaughlin (1808-1884) married Sarah Crow 1827 in Va. (now Brooke Co., WV).  their 1st born was Philip Crow (named after Sarah's father).  The family moved to Morgan Co., Ohio by 1830.  Their children were:  PHilip C, Rebecca J, William P., Emily E.

Sarah died between 1860-1870 and William died March 1884 in Nelsonville, Oh at the home of his daughter Rebecca Riddle,

Anything about this William being maried 3-4 times.  Or Sarah dying in childbirth.  Or Wm moving on to Colorado is nothing more that amatuer research and false at best.
