Did I edit this Euroaristo profile correctly?

I adopted some Euroaristo family members and have edited one. Will a member of the project please check my edits and tell me if I am using the naming conventions adopted by the group correctly? I'd like to know I understand the naming conventions before editing the next one. Thank you.

Lianne, I applied the edits and here is how Cromwell-1 displays now:

Sir Ralph Cromwell V

I think that is a great improvement from the former display -

Sir Ralph V (DeCromwell Lord Cromwell) Cromwell Lord Cromwell

Is it correct to leave the 'de' off completely, or should it be added to a specific field in the name?

If he's also known by the last name de Cromwell, that could go in other last names.

The only thing that jumped out at me awas the other last name DeBellers, I would think de Bellers. The surmae prefix is usually in lower case with a space except in the US where the de is often De and the space often disappears.

The other point is the ancesry family trees as source, they are often not sources but amalgamated trees without sources, have you checked it, if it is not a source and the other sources cover all the facts it can be deleted.

I like the sources, except for the third: The book on Ancestry can only be read by paying members.
I don't think we should discount sources just because they might not be accessible to everyone.  If it's a good source than it should be used, no matter if it's on a paid site, or something someone has bought or borrowed.   Otherwise we would all be using the easily accessible sources and many of them are a bit dubioius.
I understand what you mean, and if the source is properly identified, as this one is, it is worth keeping.

OTOH, WikiTree is a free site, and in that light, referencing pay sites looks a bit against WikiTree philosophy.

Having said that, I currently have a problem accessing the second source too, and that one is free.

There may be some confusion here, I mentioned the third source might be removed if it contained nothing sourced, it was at that time

 Title: Ancestry Family Trees

: Publication: Online publication - Provo, UT, USA: The Generations Network. Original data: Family Tree files submitted by Ancestry members.
: Note: This information comes from 1 or more individual Ancestry Family Tree files. This source citation points you to a current version of those files. Note: The owners of these tree files may have removed or changed information since this source citation was created.
These are unreliable, obviously April has checked it found it did not count as a source as there were already other sources, and following style committee guidlines has removed it. It has been replaced by another source which is obviously a better source but still hidden behind the Ancestry wall.

While it would be better if there was an open source available we have to live with the fact that not all sources are available free, a competent researcher like April, has checked this and added it, those without Ancestry accounts must trust her, or suggest another free source of the book.
I just added a souce to the bulletin board.
Thanks. I did not intend to question Aprils competence. Having good sources for historic figures is a great thing to have, and in this case I was referring to the book on Ancestry, which in most cases is way better than some random undocumented tree, like the ones we find on millions of other profiles here.

That said, when I click on a link, it still frustrates me when the link doesn't work, which happens to the 2nd source too. It doesn't give me an error message, like it did a few minutes ago, but it brings me to the front page of the FS books site, so it does not show the actual source like it does on archive.org.

Doing things right for everyone is extremely difficult, and a lot of work too, and every link to another site, even the 1st to archive.org, may some time stop working. And that's true for my own links to records on FS too.

One solution for that is attaching a picture, PDF, or text fragment, for every source used, but I don't really know how much of that is legal. I do attach FS film images where I can, but I didn't ask for permission, so ...
Here is the profile for the question about adding titles:

http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/DeCromwell_Lord_Cromwell-1

I looked at the help page and did not see how to apply it to Ralph Cromwell - where to put the names/title. Lianne,  your answer is much more clear to me - thank you!

Regarding the sources for Bellers-21 - I fixed the link to FamilySearch (I had used the link with my log-in instead of a public link which is why it wasn't working for you, Enno).  Thank you, Enno, for your comment. I really care that people can access sources, and use a free link to a source instead of the Ancestry link whenever I can find one.

Rhian, Thank you for the resource for Bellers-21. I will add it to the Sources.

Yes, the Ancestry link had only one source aside from trees, and I added the source, which was the link Enno commented on. I see no point in linking to trees which can be here today and gone tomorrow, if there is another source to be used instead.  Unless, as Lianne said, the tree is the only source.

This has been really helpul to me and I appreciate the help from all of you. Thank you Lianne, John, Enno and Rhian.

Enno, please let me know if you continue to have any trouble with that link.
That was a speedy reply, Enno. I appreciate your feedback on this link.
I'm going to experiment with the link until I find one that works best.

Thank you for your feedback!
Hi April, I checked again, and found that the link sent me to a list of Wallop books matching the search term that you apparently used. That's way better, but on reading the actual volume that you reference, I found another link at the top of the page, which is this:

https://dcms.lds.org/delivery/DeliveryManagerServlet?dps_pid=IE522989&

Since this one seems to be made to be shared, I assume that it's stable enough for a direct link to the book itself. I see no way to link to the actual page, which is probably a technical restriction imposed by the site.

P.S. the link that I pasted is hidden behind the share button.
Enno you are very helpful. I added your link and it works the best - that is how I will reference FamilySearch books in the future. Thanks!
