Hi Brad.  I suggest you add tags to your question (as you added Switzerland), using the surnames that interest you the most. That will attract the attention of others interested in those names.
Hi Brad

You should add the towns where the familys came from, as Switzerland has "Heimatorte", sort of citizenship that didn't change when moving to another town. Only if family name and Heimatort are fitting both, you can assume they are related somehow.

I have Moser cousins here in the United States but they were from Bern originally if memory serves.

Ditto. Mine was a Zumkehr, married into the family. If memory serves, I have Moser further back also.

Hi Björn
I found a Moser family around 1900 with Heimatort Arni (parish Biglen), but yours has Heimatort Biglen?

Brad,

The spreadsheet being discussed today on the Switzerland category has much data on your surnames Krebs(1549-1665), Moser(1577-1741), Muller(1550-1770), Gurtner(1550-1736), and Meyer(1551-1727).

Pick a name to begin with, and email me direct for further research.

Hello

I have Meyer ancestors in Switzerland. I guess that it might be Steffisburg, Bern, but I have no proof.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Meyer-8602 has what I know about my ancestor. I speculate that it may have been Steffisburg because some of my ancestors not named Meyer came from Steffisburg and the families associated with each other in various locations for many years.

I hope this helps.

My paternal line. Most distant known ancestor is Jacob Moser (b. 1826 Switzerland - d. 1891 Marion Township, Owen, Indiana), Moser-2489. m. 1st Maria, m 2nd Elizabeth Geib (b. 1827, Germany - d. 1896, Owen County, Indiana, USA).

His mother may have been named Anna.

I am a Krebs but I'm not sure where that side of my family came from. I was thinking Germany but it could be Switzerland.
