The online genealogy book on the Pitts family I found is in Archives.org.  It is on David Banton and Nancy Pitts.  It may give you some clues as where to look.  It seems the Pitts started in two places..New York State and Massachuttes State.  There is also a book in the Family History Library in Utah by Frances Dance. on microfilm.  Hope this helps

The problem still remains is their documentation for this Jesse Pitts family.  The Andrew Pitts and Martha Stroud family including their son William is well documented, but the problem comes with William's marriage to Salley Durham and his son Jesse.  Was there a Jesse Pitts?  If so,  was he the son of William?  Did he marry Elizabeth Honeycutt and another woman?

I'm not looking for Pitts famiy ancestry here, but rather for the documentation for Jesse, his wives, and his children.  I need help with this.

Thanks.
