I visited Sedgwick in 1989 on a family genealogy vacation. It's a quiet village on Penobscot Bay along the Maine coast. We went there because my great grandfather, Adrian C. Dodge, had been appointed Sedgwick's Postmaster, repaying him for his service in the Civil War. He was injured on Day 2 at Gettysburg. We found a Dodge genealogical gold mine nearby, a cemetery loaded with Dodge gravestones and the Historical Society across the street.
