Biography

Nicholas Criol was a member of the aristocracy in England.

Nicholas Criol, Knight, (or Kyriel), son and heir, was born at Sarre, Kent, England, 29 Dec. 1282. ^{[1] [2]} "He was knighted in 1306 and served in 1326 as Admiral of the guarding the southern coast." ^[2] He married Eleanor de Segrave, who died before 12 June 1307. ^[1] They had no issue. ^[1] He married second before 1314 Rose (Unknown). ^[1] They had one son, John, Knight. ^{[2] [1]} Nicholas died before 18 July 1329. ^[2] He did not die at Eynsford Castle, which was vandalized and abandoned by 1312. ^{[3] [4]}
