Biography

Notes

In the DAR record of John Woodson it states that it is unclear if Benjamin was the son of Jesse Hughes and Mary Woodson Cheadle because he wasn't named in 1856-1857 deeds. It does appear that Benjamin had died by that point though, and in a letter written by Benjamin's daughter Benjie dated 09 Aug 1905 she states "...One of them is a chair, once the property of Thomas Jefferson. As his mother (Jane Randolph) was father's great-grandmother's sister, I was much interested in its history."
