John Paulet was born about 1598 in Basing, Hampshire, England, son of William Paulet (<1560–1628) and Lucy Cecil (1568–1614).

John (23) married Jane Savage (15) (born about May 26, 1607 in Isleworth, Middlesex, England; daughter of Sir Thomas Savage and Elizabeth (Darcy) Savage) on December 18, 1622 in Licence, London, Middlesex. Their son was Charles Paulet (~1630–1699).

John (34) married Honora De Burgh (23) (born on August 19, 1610 in Athlone, Westmeath, Ireland; daughter of Richard (De Burgh) Bourke and Frances (Walsingham) Burgh) on October 4, 1633 in Basing. Their children were:
