John Almon Rockwell (later changed name to Almon John) was born in Waterville, New Brunswick on March 25, 1816 and died at Moro, Maine on August 25, 1893. It is believed that he moved to the State of Maine in his youth. He was married twice. His first wife was Francis Lorin who was born 7/4/1831, she died 10/30/1868 which was 10 days after Samuel was born. His second wife was Nancy (Stockford) Prosser, a widow, who was born 9/15/1837. She died 5/27/1887.
