Biography

Calvin Stone was born on July 23, 1781, in Rutland, Massachusetts, the son of Jeduthan Stone and Elizabeth (Howe) Stone.

He married Elizabeth Estabrook, their intention was recorded on October 6, 1810, in Rutland, where he was a farmer. They had three children.^[1]

Calvin died on January 20, 1829, in Rutland, Massachusetts,^[1] at the age of 47, and was buried in the Rutland Rural Cemetery.^[2]

Estate

Administration on the estate of Calvin Stone of Rutland, given 3 Feb1829 to Rufus Putnam of same, his widow Elizabeth Stone, father Jeduthan Stone, and brother Willard Stone declining. Final account on 6 July 1830, showed balance of $481.18 for the widow Elizabeth and for the administrator as guardian of the 3 children of deceased, all minors. (Worchester County probate records, No. 56499.)^[1]
