He came to the United States in 1884 and made his home at Helena, Montana for a time where he operated a grocery store. In 1891, he came to the Flathead and established his farm north of Kalispell, Mt. Mr. White served as a county commissioner in the early 1900's, and during that time assisted the board in establishing the farmers insurance in this area, an organization of which he was president for a number of years.
Mr. White was a long-time member of Kalispell Masonic Lodge 42, A.F. & A.M., and past commander of Cyrene Commandery 10, Knights Templar.
