Will book two page 89 - 90, Mobile County Alabama:

In the name of God amen, I Thomas bird of the county of mobile and state of Alabama yeoman, being mindful of my mortality due this 24th day of October in the year of our Lord 1843 make and publish this my last will and testament in ??? following.

First, I desire to be decently and privately buried without any funeral pump and with as little expense as may be.

Also I give and bequeath unto the children of my oldest son John W. Byrd my Negro woman Rachel with her increase, one gray mare, one feather bed and furniture one half of my stock of cattle now in possession of the aforesaid John W Byrd in Simpson County Mississippi.

Also I give and bequeath unto the children of my second son Henry A. Byrd one negro boy named January, one negro girl named Dapney, one negro girl named Renna continued on page 90
