The Pink Lady, which sits accross the street to the west of the famous Carson Mansion, was built in 1889 by William and Sarah Carson as a wedding present to their son John Milton Carson. The house is a Queen Anne Victorian designed by the Newsom Brothers who also designed the Carson Mansion. The façade is dominated by a large domed turret and surface undulation, both typical of the Queen Anne style of Victorian. The house is located at the foot of Second and M Streets and marks one corner of the boundaries of Eureka's Old Town which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places
