Gaines-587 John Gaines
The first of the Games family recorded as "of Newton" was the first John Games, MP for the county in 1545. The original manor was essentially rebuilt in 1582 by John Games of the prominent Breconshire family. The house was first placed on the list of protected homes as Grade: I, Date Listed: 25 September 1951

Cadw Building ID: 6803. The house has been continuously occupied since 1582 and is privately owned and occupied today.
