Is this James Jones? This photo is part of a collection relating to James's cousin Matthew (Jones-23473) who was in the Taranaki Militia in the 1860's. However, this photo is neither Matthew nor militia, so perhaps family? James is recorded as being in the Taranaki Volunteer Rifles around 1860. The uniform, rifle and style in this photo is consistent with that unit and period .

If anyone has information please advise.
