We have a reproduction of this portrait and Joseph's hanging in our dining room. It was always a mystery to who they were and why they were in Jim's family. So as we have climbed the tree, we went out on a Swift branch and solved the mystery. Thanks for your thorough profiles. One of our sources* states that at the time of the writing--1855, they were still hanging in 'Swarthmore", one of Joseph's former residences, sr.till in the Swift family. Do you know where they are now two hundred years later?
