Research Notes

There is no documentation showing Thomas was a middle name or that his first name was William. All records located use the given name "Thomas" including land transactions and other legal documents in Northampton County. The last recorded transaction was a deed of gift in 1695 to take effect upon his death. It provided for the equal division of 600 acres among his five sons: Thomas, William, John, Benjamin, and Joseph.[2]
