Birdie Traver was born on 21 November 1869 in Holy Springs, Marshall, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Liberty Constantine Abbott and Maria (Traver) Abbott.^[1]

In the 1880 census Birdie Traver (age 10) was living in Holmes, Mississippi.^[2]

When Birdie Traver was 26 she married Peyton Tabb Jones on 30 April 1896 in Holmes, Mississippi. The couple had one child: Peyton Abbott Jones.^[3]

In the 1900 census Birdie Traver (age 30) was living in Beat 5, Holmes, Mississippi.^[4]
