Heinrich August Abenath was born on August 2, 1894 in Horneburg, Waltrop, Recklinghausen, Westfalen, Preußen, Deutsches Reich, son of Bernard Theodor Abenhardt (1853–1902) and Anna Maria Stöve (1855– ).[1]
Heinrich died on October 5, 1916 in Irles, Somme, Picardie, Frankreich, aged 22, as a result of a head injury caused by rapid shrapnel fire fighting for the Imperial German Navy.[2]
