Biography

Audie Acres was born in Appalachia, in Tennessee.
Audie was born in 1911. He was the son of Joseph Acres and Sarah Wilhite. In the 1920 census Audie (age 8) was the son of Joseph Sexton in Civil District 4, Scott, Tennessee.[1] In the 1930 census Auda (age 19), Trackman, was the single son of Joseph Acres on Oneida Road, District 4, Scott, Tennessee, United States.[2]

Audie registered for the draft on 16 October 1940 in Oneida, Scott, Tennessee.[3] He served in the US Army.[4] He enlisted on 16 December 1942 in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.[5]

In the 1950 census Audie (age 39), Maintenance Worker, was the married head of household in Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio, United States.[6]

Audie died on 3 June 1977 and was buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sunbright, Morgan County, Tennessee, United States.[7]
