Biography
Benjamin was born in George, Cape Colony in about 1840; he was the son of Thomas Adam and Helena Catharina Maria van der Hoven.
He was 28 years old when he married 19-year-old Elizabeth Hermina van Coller in the Winburg Church on 28 December 1868.[1]
