Biography

Worked for the railroad. Bigamist. Had another wife in Chattanooga, TN.

This 1920 Census record might be him? It's Fulton, GA. The name listed is William D Adams, which doesn't match what I've been told. However, the age matches. It's Fulton, GA, and even lists English Ave (the address JD Adams used on his draft card). And he has a son, James D Adams, whose age matches JD "Red" Adams. William is listed as a railroad conductor (matches family lore). James D (age 16) is listed as a file clerk for the telegraph company. We know JD was a police man later, but he could have been a file clerk in his teens. Need to do more research. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33SQ-GR69-JZ6?i=11&cc=1488411

Also found this listing on Find a Grave with a photo. He's buried 2.6 miles from the address on JD Red's draft card. The listing includes a son names Jefferson Davis. The birth year matches the other stuff. He's married to a Julia Ann Pritchard, too. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/41375596

Adams-36078 and Adams-17062 appear to represent the same person because: I think these are the same person. Your record doesn't have a huge amount of data, but the names, dates, and parents match up to what I've got in mine.
