He was born on September 16, 1929, in Roseburg, the son of Fred and Annie Laurie (Kent) Agee. He was united in marriage to Leola B. Trankle on May 10, 1951, in Roseburg. He is survived by his wife, Leola Agee; children, Pat F and Lynette Agee and Ben C Agee, both of Roseburg; Kris T and Jamie Agee of Tigard, Oregon; grandchildren, Kristine E. Sigvartsen; Ronald J. Agee; Aidan I. Agee and Daniel J. Agee. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Olive “Betty” Sheldon and Avis “Peggy” Knaggs, a brother, Harold “Tub” Agee; daughter, Rona K Agee and grandson, Kit W Agee. He was raised and educated in the Roseburg area. He worked as a truck driver, farmed, ranched and logged before and after going to work for B.L.M. He was especially proud of his work in tree genetics and grazing leases, he retired from B.L.M. in 1989. He served as chairman of the board for Civil Bend Pioneer Cemetery, many years to the day he died. The Cemetery was founded in part, by his grandfathers, May 12, 1877. He enjoyed family, ranch life, horses and dogs. Ron was often recognized from afar by his full head of silver hair. At his request no funeral services will be held. Private interment will be in Family Plot at Civil Bend Pioneer Cemetery. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to Civil Bend Pioneer Cemetery, P.O.
