Antonia was born about 1847 ^[1] in Partanna, Sicily, a daughter of Antonino Aiello and Giuseppa Trambino ^[2]. In 1868 at age 21, she married in Partanna to 29-year-old Michele Madonia, a farmer from Santa Margherita di Belice ^[3].
