Mary was born in 1862. She is the daughter of George Albright and Anna Jeffries She came west with Geo.N. Allbright family. Both Auntie Ruth & Aunt Ada visited & know that Ruth said "when she grew up she wanted to marry her Aunt Hattie" - quote from her. Aunt Ada said they were treated so well whenever they visited & they loved visiting her, She died in 1937 in Manitoba , as per death certificate. She married Robert Wellwood in 1882.

Question asked by Dorothy Earley "Who was the Aunt mentioned by Mary's brother William George Albright??? Am thinking now it must have been either Jeffries sister or George Nelson Albright's sister?"

The following was taken from the book on Amranth and provided by Dorothy (Berguson) Early, a cousin.

"Mary or Hattie as she was know in the family,the wife if the late Robert Wellwood, arrived in the Amaranth District in 1923. Hattie and Robert Wellwood were married in the Episcosopal Church in Westbourne, Manitoba, October 31, 1882 and took up residence in theLakeland District. They had five children; Maude, Ethel, Myrtle, Harold and Elizabeth. Robert passed away September 3, 1895. Hattie sold the farm in Lakeland and moved to Westbourne where the children completed their education. In 1916 Hattie moved to Kinosota and took a homestead. Harold, her only son was employed by the Home Lumber Co. and in 1920 he was placed in charge of the Amaranth Branch. In 1921 Harold built a house on Lot 22 in Amaranth. Hattie sold her farm in Kinisota in 1923 and moved to Amaranth to reside with her son who was in failing health. Harold passed away May 2, 1928. Hattie continued to reside in Amaranth up to the time of her death October 13, 1937 " [Note: this was 7 days before my birth on Oct. 20, 1937]
