Mary "Polly" Jones was born in early August of 1767, probably at Middleborough, Massachusetts Bay; she was the daughter of Ebenezer Alden and Ruth (Fobes) Alden (later, Faunce) -- and through her father, a descendant of the Mayflower's John Alden and Priscilla (Mullins) Alden.
Polly married Nehemiah Jones at Raynham, Massachusetts, in early October of 1791. She survived her husband by just four days, dying at Raynham on January 7, 1831, aged 63.
