Biography
John was born about 1736 and baptised in Mendlesham on 28 May 1736. He was the youngest child of Stephen Aldous and Elizabeth Unknown.[1]
On 21 May 1761, John married Mary Burleigh in Fressingfield.[2] He was a farmer.[3]
The couple had nine children between 1761 and 1775, but few of them survived infancy.
When his father wrote his will in 1765, John's children Phineas and Sarah were left property in Fressingfield and Mendlesham.[4]
He passed away in 1781 and was buried in Mendlesham on 6 April 1781.[5]
