Kathryn S. Ale was born in September 1911.[1] Her parents were Clark Ambrose Ale (1883–1946) and Mary Violet Thomas (1888–1986). In 1920 the family was living in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.[2] By 1930 they had moved to Kelly Township, Union County, Pennsylvania. At age 18 she was a laborer for a meat packer.[3]
She married Willard Glyn Baker (1911-1991) on Christmas Day 1933 at the Lutheran parsonage in West Milton, Pennsylvania.[4] They had a farm in Kelly Township, Union, Pennsylvania.[5], [6] Their children included:
Kathryn passed away in March 2006 at age 94. She was buried with Glyn in Saint Johns Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania.[7]
