Biography

Martha Campbell Allcock was born in 1791 in Amherst County, Virginia. Martha Campbell was the child of Joseph Allcock and Martha Campbell. Martha Campbell passed away in July 1864 in Warren County, Kentucky.

In 1850 widow Martha C Porter is living in the household of her sister and brother-in-law, Eliza Jane and Willis Hinton, in Warren County, Kentucky.[1]

Marriages & Children

Martha "Patsey" Allcock married as second wife Mathew Lively on 7 November 1822 in Warren County, Kentucky.[2] Based on the 1830 Census, Warren County, Kentucky and 1840 Census, Allen County, Kentucky, Martha and Mathew had one son born between 1821-1825 before Mathew's death 15 Jan 1834.[3] [4]

Martha C Lively married second David A Porter on 18 October 1838 in Warren County, Kentucky.[5] They had no known children.

Research Notes

Martha and Mathew Lively did not have a daughter Martha Campbell Lively, b about 1825. Someone read the marriage record for Martha "Patsey" (Allcock) Lively and David A Porter and decided that Martha Lively must be the daughter of Martha and Mathew. Records show only one child for Martha and Mathew Lively, Patrick Henry Lively, born 1824. (Strutton-11 17:29, 20 February 2023 (UTC))
