Biography

William Richard was born in 1715. He was the son of Geroge Allen and Hannah Spencer. He passed away in 1749. ^[1]

Copied from the original Tree: "Allen born circa A.D. 1590. Traditionally upheld to have been engaged for the Royal Party in company with several sons in 1645 when they lost the paternal estate and fled to Wexford in Ireland where he died. This estate is traditionally reported to have been near Sherwood Forest in the County of Nottingham. It is possible therefore that George Allen joined the King in raising of the Royal Standard at Nottingham August 22nd 1642. The number of the sons is said to have been seven." "Several Allen grandsons living 1675 - two of them were: (Joseph Allen, M.D., [Wikitree: Allen 14087] 1710-1796; went around the world with Commodore, afterwards Lord Anson [this was Admiral of the Fleet George Anson, 1st Baron Anson, 1697-1762; the around the world trip was 1737-1744 & his ship was the HMS Centurion. This is from Wikipedia - read the account of the trip - it's really interesting!) and (Richard Allen, [Wikitree: Allen 14090] Rector of Ferns and Gorey, Wexford, Ireland) "Mary Allen, great-granddaughter, born circa 1705. Married to Joseph Williams, Wexford, Ireland." Their son was "Joseph Williams, born circa 1729, died 1778, married Elizabeth Clinton, born 1734 in Down County, Ireland, died 1814."[2]
