Notes

Note NI520208509Little is known about Edgar A. Clarke's mother. Birth date info from her 1897 death certificate. In 1860 Census, she was enumerated with her husband Stillman Clarke and their 3 children. Sarah and her husband may have moved to Michigan in 1850 (the year their youngest child Edgar A. Clarke was born)- but the 1850 Census that was taken in October 1850 (2 months after Edgar was born) only lists Stillman, Sarah, and their 2 daughters residing in Scio, Livingston, MI. Sarah is buried next to her husband Stillman at Pinckney Cemetery. Sarah's birth and death dates aren't listed on her tombstone- that info (and burial info) is on her death certificate.
