Mrs. R J Graves]] of College Park, Fulton County, Georgia was listed as the nearest relative of Rufus Jefferson Graves when he registered for military service as recorded in this September 12, 1918 United States World War I Draft Registration Card as seen in this image of the original form.^[1]

Hattie L Graves was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 2581 Edmonson Avenue, Baltimore Ward 20, Baltimore (Independent City), Maryland for the January 5, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1884 in Georgia and married as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Rufus Graves, son Jefferson Graves, daughter Marie Graves, daughter Sarah Graves and daughter Dorothy Graves.^[2]

She was noted as born 1885 in Georgia and married. She was first married at the age of twenty-one as seen in an image of the original census.
