The death of Mrs. Rosena Jane Birch occurred at her son's residence at Biloela on Sunday last [27 July 1930]. Deceased was an old and highly respected resident of the Kingaroy district. Born in England, she arrived in Brisbane at an early age, later marrying [Mr William Jenks]]. A few years later she became a widow, and afterwards marred Mr. Fred. Birch, one of the pioneers of the Kingaroy district. She had four sons, the eldest, Harry, being killed at the war, and another was wounded. The remaining three are Allen and John, of Kingaroy, and Phillip, of Biloela.^[1]
